I would be honored to keep writing to you in the process of getting to knowing each other better.Friendship is like swallowing hot chocolate before it has cooled off. It takes you by surprise at first, but keeps you warm for a long time.Would like to say a little about myself,I'm a very fun loving easy going man that enjoys the little things. As you know already, I am looking for a long term relationship.I am the type of person that I put my partner's feelings before my own in most instances.I am always trying to please my partner and make her feel good about herself. My ideal partner would be someone who is honest, faithful, compassionate, affectionate, romantic, has a good sense of humor, someone who is always down to earth, and someone that not only can I talk to freely but she must be able to express her feeling to me as well. I want a partner who is going to try to bring my spirits up when I am down and out. I am very protective of my partner. I would say that my personality is never dominating and I do get jealous sometimes.
I need a partner who can stand up to me in an argument and express herself (that statement does not mean that I want to argue, but if it does happens fine.lol.) I want to be with a woman who wants the family life style and understands that in order for her to have a good relationship with her partner that she needs to spend time with her partner . I understand and have no problem with my partner spending time with her friends.
I lost my wife and son some 7 years back,she died in car accident together with my only son  and  I've been single.Writing this mail really recalls memories of the past.I really love nature.I am a big sport fan, I do love almost all sports, but most especially golf,ice hockey and baseball. Other things I like are walking or hiking in the parks or woods around my area, watching movies, reading, learning about other places in the world, cold weather and snow, drinking tea, eating chocolate. I was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, I graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1975 and played high school football for the "Wildcats". I graduated from the University of Chattanooga (now the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga), where i was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, in 1979 with a degree in Business Administration. As a Distinguished Military Graduate of the University's ROTC Program, I was commissioned in the U.S. Army in June 1979 as an Armor/Tank 2nd Lieutenant. Later, I received a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. Over the years, I also received Honorary Doctorate Degrees from the University of Maryland, University College; Keimyung University, South Korea; and the University of Tennessee.

My military career, I completed the Armor Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, United States Army Command and General Staff College, and the National War College. I also completed the Army's Ranger School where i was awarded the Ranger Tab.
From 1979 to 1982, I spent my initial assignment in the Army with the 3d Squadron, 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment in Bad Hersfeld, Germany. During this initial three year period of service during the Cold War, I led units patrolling the Iron Curtain between East and West Germany.During my 38 year active duty career, I command positions included L Troop, 3d Squadron, 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment; D troop, 5th Reconnaissance Squadron; the 2nd Squadron, 9th Cavalry, 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized); and the 24th Infantry Division's 2nd Brigade Combat Team. From June 1995 through August 1996 and as a Brigadier General, I served as an Assistant Division Commander in both the 3d and 1st Infantry Divisions located in Bamberg, Germany. As a Major General he commanded the U.S. Army Armor Center and Fort Knox from July 1999 through August 2001 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. As a Lieutenant General, I commanded the Army's III Corps from August 2001 to November 2002, headquartered at Fort Hood, Texas. Following Corps Command, I was promoted to four star general and commanded the United States Army, Europe and 7th Army, as well as NATO's Land Component Command, Heidelberg, Germany and in Europe, in 2006 i was reassigned to South Korea where i commanded U.S. Forces, Korea, the Korea - U.S. Combined Forces Command, and the United state Command in Iraq under TZ2 in August 2008 and
now i am here in Afghanistan for peace keeping,will be going back to US ending of this month so i am going to get a lot of time for the woman of my life after meeting her.



My stuff position include service as an ROTC instructor at Texas Tech University; Force Plans Analyst for the Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans in the Pentagon; and Joint Staff Officer responsible for the Unified Command Plan in the J5, Joint Chiefs of Staff, also in the Pentagon. Additionally, I was a tank battalion Operations Officer in Korea and the Chief of Staff of 3rd Infantry Division in Würzburg, Germany. From August 1996 to July 1999 i served as Chief of Staff of V Corps, and as DCSOPS and subsequently Chief of Staff, United States Army, Europe and 7th Army.In 1994 i served as a Senior Military Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City, and since been selected as a serving member on the Council. I deployed as General Schwarzkopf's Executive Officer in Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Iraq..... i think i have intorigate you much about me and i am hoping to hear from you too....
